What is AmeriCorps???
AmeriCorps is often referred to as the domestic Peace Corps. AmeriCorps connects full- and part-time U.S. Citizens with national and local organizations committed to using national service to address critical community needs. AmeriCorps members receive a living stipend, and based on the completion of volunteer hours, they become eligible to receive an educational award to put towards their education expenses (including loans) - and, in some cases, the educational expenses of their children or grandchildren.
